New Antique Price Guides
The Library’s Information and Reference Center has chosen to highlight the following new books to help patrons find answers to a variety of questions. The following three books are updated versions of titles found at Rodman Library relating to antiques.
WARMAN’S ANTIQUES AND COLLECTIBLES PRICE GUIDE 2009, edited by Tracy L. Schmidt
This 2009 price guide is full of color photos and descriptions of numerous antiques and collectibles. Sections include ceramics, furniture, glass, jewelry, metals, and toys. A miscellaneous section is also available with items listed in alphabetical order. A full index is available as well. This is a must-see for all those who collect or enjoy antiques.
KOVEL’S ANTIQUES AND COLLECTIBLES PRICE GUIDE 2009, by Ralph and Terry Kovel
This is the latest edition of the Kovel price guide. It includes 44,000 real prices, 2,500 color photographs, and 700 categories. Tips and tricks are given for collectors and categories are listed in alphabetical order. As one of the most well-known antique price guides, collectors and enthusiasts will want take a look at this book.
MILLER’S ANTIQUES PRICE GUIDE 2009, by Judith Miller
This revised edition of Miller’s price guide includes items listed by category. From porcelain to furniture to textiles, this book has it all. Full color photos are available, along with a comprehensive description of the item and the estimated price. This book has been called the "Bible of the antiques trade."
All of these books are helpful tools for antique collectors and enthusiasts alike.
