The Library's Information and Reference Center has chosen to highlight the
following new reference books to help patrons find answers to a variety of
questions.
THE DOG BREED

This full color guide to dog breeds distinguishes the different American
Kennel Club groups, including the sporting, hound, working, terrier, toy,
non-sporting and herding breeds. Each type of dog in the breed is then described
in detail. Area of origin, coat, color, height, weight, history, health,
temperament and upkeep are given, along with a picture of each type of dog. A
full glossary with definitions of medical conditions is available at the back of
the book, along with an alphabetical index.
