Fair Project Index
- This electronic index includes more than17,000 science projects and demonstrations from over 600 books
published since 1990. The index contains projects from almost all areas of science and many areas of
technology. The index is designed to allow the user to locate a particular experiment by the general topic; by
keywords in the experiment title or book information; by grade level; by the materials or equipment employed;
or by the principle demonstrated.

- The Beast of the
Loch Ness Monster
- Though steeped in legend for centuries, no hard
evidence proves whether or not the Loch Ness monster exists to
this day. Students will learn where the legend of Loch Ness

sophisticated students and at times very technical, Bio
Interactive never the less provides an entertaining and
educational look at the art of medical biology techniques.

presents "the most complete information about bubbles."
Includes links to games, activities, tools, and bubble-making

Exploratorium Museum in San Francisco. From the home page choose

- Learn how stuff works - everything from food to tornadoes to dental work and medicine.

- For grades 7 and up. Includes the Periodic Table
and a chemistry glossary.

- For grades 5 and up. In this snazzy Shockwave
presentation, kids are invited to cave the universe from attacking
computer viruses by solving different segments of a game.

- For grades 3-8. This site presents facts about
microbes in a fun and kid-friendly manner.

- This site introduces the mysteries behind
Stonehenge, Easter Island and the Nazca Lines.

- Survive a week on Planet Zak, get an idea
patented, and learn about famous inventors.
- Neuroscience
for Kids
- For grades 3-12. This site offers extensive
activities and experiments on and about the nervous system while
concentrating on the five senses.
- Oceanlink
- For grades 4 and up. A great place for kids
to learn about marine life, oceans, and our responsibilities to
them. Contains links to other related sites including one to
underwater acoustics from the "Oceaninfo" page.
- Pfizer

- For grades 4-8. From the colorful home page, choose
from one of four doors to a series of games, definitions, facts and
puzzles. Also included experiments using common household
ingredients.
- Photomicrographs
- For grades 3 and up. At this site students and
teachers can search for photos taken thru a microscope. There are
hundreds of images available
- The Science Hobbyist
- For grades 4 and up. A practical site including
everything students need to create physical science projects and
where they can purchase supplies.
- Soda
Constructor
- Create a model out of digital soda straws and use
your engineering skills to animate it.
- Stalking the
Mysterious Microbe
- For grades 4-8. Users are invited to solve six
"cases" - basic questions about microbes, fungi, protists
and viruses.

solar system. Loads a little slow.

- The Why Files
- For grades 4 and up. This is a great resource for
students looking to do projects related to current topics in
science, math, and technology, especially topics that are in the
news.
- The
Yuckiest Site on the Internet
- For grades 4-8. Entomology gets a boost with this
yucky look at two of our earthy co-inhabitants: earthworms and
cockroaches. Written in comical format, educational facts
are presented in a way that isn't easily forgotten. Some buggy
games are included.
