Wednesday, August 5-1:00-3:00 PM-- Join artist Carrie Givens as she helps you transform books into art. We'll provide the books for you to use as a canvas. Draw, paint or paste something in it. Or go to extremes: cut holes in the book, weave paper through its pages, or redo the cover. Make it into your own masterpiece to express yourself. Advance registration is required. Limit of 20. CREATE A READING EXPERIENCE!
Mother Daughter Book Club is a unique opportunity for teen girls and their mothers (or any female adult partner-reader) to share a love of reading. Check out the book of the month from the library and join us at the YWCA one Thursday a month from 7:15-8:30 PM. Book for June 25th: The Bite of the Mango / Mariatu Kamara.
