Computer Classes Are Back at Rodman Library

Rodman Library's popular computer classes are back for the spring. Classes begin Thursday, January 8 with Mouse Basics. Other basics classes in January include Windows Basics on Monday January 12 and Internet Basics on Monday January 19. Job Web Sites and Resume Writing is a new class added to the schedule this spring. During this class students will be shown how to prepare a resume using Microsoft Word and will visit online job sites for help in seeking employment. It will take place on Thursday January 15. The Learning Express and Careers Online class will take place on January 22 and will focus on the Learning Express database offered at the library. In this class students will explore the database for help with career-building skills such as successful interviewing, communication skills, business writing, and networking.

Classes throughout the spring will include old favorites such as Searching Google, Designing a Web Site and Microsoft Word, as well as new classes including Small Business Online, Facebook Basics, and Flickr.

A full schedule of classes is available at the library or online at www.rodmanlibrary.com. All classes are at 10:00 a.m. unless specifically noted. Classes are free and open to the public. Registration is required and can be made the Monday of the week before the class by calling 330-821-2665.
